We're not horsing around when we say this beautiful book is a real work of art. Written in memory of the author Rachel Yallop's beloved Gypsy Cob Horse, Harry, it has 66 pages packed full of photographs, calligraphy and stories about Harry. It is printed with vegetable inks on 150gsm silk recycled paper and we think that Harry would have approved of the green printing process.
The opening page of this book reads, "On the 24th April 2009, 25 years after I last owned such a noble creature, I bought a horse. I went to the horse sales in Leominster, Herefordshire and bid for this handsome, piebald, 15:1hh gypsy cob. At one point there was someone bidding against me, but they dropped out and the hammer came down and sealed the deal. That day I told Harry that I would love and care for him for the rest of his life. This is the story of that partnership."
Harry was unique. Anyone who loves horses, particularly Gyspy horses, will understand the incredible bond that can exist between a human and a horse, and will surely enjoy this book.
